Counsel Press Announces the Promotion of Two Key Executives

New York City, New York (February 8, 2013) - At its New York City headquarters, Counsel Press announced the promotions of Maria Piperis as its vice president – operations and Geoffrey Barth as its vice president – technology. Both Piperis and Barth are long term Counsel Press team members who are foundational to the current success of the company. Both report to President Brian Robinson.

Piperis was for the last 2 ½ years the business operations manager for Counsel Press and joined the company in 1997 as a member of its New York City paralegal department. "Maria has been with the company through tremendous periods of growth and has been a key member of the teams that supported that growth throughout," said Brian Robinson, President of Counsel Press.

Previously, as Counsel Press' paralegal manager, Piperis was instrumental in building the current department structure and developing the paralegal staff in our busiest location to serve our client's needs on the very largest and most complicated matters being processed in our nation's appellate courts. As our business operations manager Piperis was a valuable member of the team that relocated our New York City staff into a brand new 20,000 square foot headquarters location in one weekend. Piperis has a very deep grasp of the industry and acts as a comprehensive resource to all Counsel Press staff and clients nationwide.

"Having demonstrated her ability in a variety of roles it was a natural next challenge to expand her influence across other departments to help support the most successful team in this business. Maria has done an outstanding job overseeing operations and we are confident that she will continue to be a key person in reaching our organizational goals. Simply put, we are thrilled to have her as a member of the Counsel Press team and we are thrilled to promote her in recognition for her positive contributions," said Brian Robinson.

Barth was for the last 6 ½ years the IT director for Counsel Press and joined the company in that position after a number of projects as an outside consultant. Barth brings multiple disciplines to the table and always stretches himself to find the best solutions to our needs at Counsel Press. "Geoffrey came to us at a time when we were able to leverage substantial investments in technology to bring tremendous efficiencies to our work, along with supporting measurable increases in quality, across all of our departments," said Brian Robinson, President of Counsel Press.

During his tenure Barth built an outstanding department in our headquarters location which serves our staff and clients within all 12 of our offices nationwide. Barth's responsibilities include software development, IT infrastructure, user and customer support roles. During the last 6 years Barth has developed our world-class proprietary case management, case processing, customer relationship management and business reporting software. Barth also developed the infrastructure that links each of our physical locations, all of our production facilities and our offsite backup location in Detroit, Michigan.

"There is no person within Counsel Press whose work affects the success of our staff and clients more than Geoffrey Barth, and we're better for having him as a member of our team," said Brian Robinson, President of Counsel Press.
