The Essential Basics of Filing an Appeal in California

This program focuses on the procedural aspects of the appellate process in the California appellate courts. Attendees will learn the methods for initiating and filing appeals in California including an overview of the rules, an explanation of the many required forms, timing considerations, requirements for briefs and appendices, motions, oral arguments and costs. The latest developments regarding e-briefs, e-filings and e-submissions will also be covered. The program concludes with a question and answer session.
